At the recently concluded 2026 Partner Conference, Beiben Heavy Truck launched 16 new models in one go, defining the cab with the new V5 brand. New energy vehicles account for nearly 90% of the total, with an annual sales target of 12,000 units.
01 Brand New Product
The newly released V5 series includes 7 tractor units and 9 dump trucks. The tractor units are primarily targeted at the long-haul logistics market, while the dump trucks focus on infrastructure projects. Notably, 14 out of these 16 models are powered by new energy vehicles, accounting for nearly 90%, demonstrating Beiben's firm commitment to its new energy transformation strategy. Compared to the previous models, the V5 series has achieved significant technological upgrades. Power output has jumped from 490 horsepower to over 600 horsepower, and battery capacity has also increased to 400-600 kWh. These improvements mean that the vehicles can travel a longer distance on a single charge, improving operational efficiency.
02 Technological Breakthrough
The 2026 models are equipped with eight domestically leading technologies claimed by Beiben. Through the adoption of new materials and structural optimization, some models have achieved a weight reduction of over 300 kg. Weight reduction not only means carrying more effective cargo but also directly contributes to lower energy consumption, achieving a win-win situation. The interior upgrades are equally significant. The newly defined V5 cab features a flat floor design, providing a more spacious driving and riding environment. The comprehensive update to the interior layout and materials significantly improves driving comfort and reduces fatigue during long-distance driving.
03 Charging Technology
One of the core challenges of the new energy transformation is energy replenishment efficiency. Beiben offers two unique solutions: "supercharging" and "interconnected charging." Some V5 models are equipped with Huawei's megawatt-level supercharging system, achieving a charging rate of 3.5C. This means that a 15-minute charge can replenish most of the vehicle's battery, significantly reducing downtime. Beiben claims to be the first company in China to develop "supercharging" and "interconnected charging" products. This highly efficient energy replenishment method undoubtedly removes a key obstacle to the practical application of new energy heavy-duty trucks.
04 Strategic Layout
Beiben Heavy Truck has set a specific sales target of 12,000 vehicles by 2026. This includes 7,100 civilian vehicles and 3,700 vehicles for export. The path to achieving this goal is clear: adhering to a scenario-based demand-oriented approach, covering five core areas including coal transportation and infrastructure projects. To this end, Beiben plans to activate its network of approximately 100 dealers and collaborate with supply chain partners to create synergy in promoting new products. This comprehensive "product + channel + service" strategy demonstrates Beiben's deep understanding and thorough preparation for the new energy heavy truck market.
In Beiben Heavy Truck's new vehicle plan, coal transportation is one of the five core application scenarios. The 16 new models will cover the entire coal transportation chain from mines to ports. Coal transportation is inherently highly sensitive to vehicle load capacity and operating costs. The weight-reducing design and large-capacity battery combination of the V5 series models precisely address this pain point. At the conference, Beiben Heavy Truck signed several strategic cooperation agreements with its partners, covering multiple aspects such as parts supply, financial services, and channel construction. Behind these collaborations lies Beiben's ambition to build a complete ecosystem for new energy heavy trucks, going beyond simply selling vehicles to providing users with one-stop solutions. With the full launch of the Beiben V5 series, a revolution in new energy heavy trucks led by Chinese brands has begun. When electric heavy trucks with over 600 horsepower can achieve fast charging, and when vehicle weight is reduced while carrying more cargo, the market position of traditional diesel heavy trucks will face unprecedented challenges.
