The first quarter of 2026 has just concluded, and the domestic heavy-duty truck market is undergoing transformation amidst stability. As a key player in the industry characterized by "military-grade quality" and "new energy transformation," Beiben Heavy Truck has recently made frequent moves, releasing a series of strong signals. From setting clear annual goals to launching major new products and deepening its digital transformation, this long-established heavy-duty truck company is demonstrating renewed vitality.

Set a "small goal": to reach 12,000 vehicles by 2026.

At its 2026 Partner Conference held at the end of 2025, Beiben Heavy Truck clearly stated its sales target for this year: 12,000 vehicles. Behind this figure lies a clear strategic plan:

Civilian Market: The company plans to sell 7,100 vehicles domestically, continuing to deepen its traditional strengths in coal, infrastructure, and mining.

Foreign Trade Exports: The target is 3,700 vehicles, with overseas markets becoming a significant growth driver.

The company's senior management emphasized that in 2026, Beiben will focus on its core positioning of "building a unique and high-quality heavy-duty truck enterprise," continuously promoting its transformation towards new energy, intelligent, and unmanned vehicles. This direction is precisely reflected in its latest product portfolio.

New Product Launch: V5 Series Leads the Way, 14 New Energy Vehicles Debut

Beiben Heavy Truck launched 16 new heavy-duty trucks at the beginning of the year, covering both tractor trucks and dump trucks. Among them, the most eye-catching was undoubtedly the debut of the all-new V5 series.

New Energy Takes Center Stage: Of the 16 new models, 14 are new energy vehicles (pure electric), accounting for over 87%. This clearly demonstrates that Beiben's investment in the new energy heavy-duty truck field has moved from "trial and error" to "full-scale deployment."

V5 Series Highlights:

Significant Performance Leap: The power of the new energy models has increased from 490 horsepower to over 600 horsepower, and the battery capacity has increased to 400-600 kWh, better meeting the needs of long-distance transportation and heavy-load scenarios.

Lightweight Breakthrough: Through structural optimization and the application of new materials, the vehicle's weight has been reduced by more than 300 kg, directly improving its effective cargo carrying capacity.

Supercharging technology implemented: The V5 series launched a full range of supercharging models, equipped with a 600 kWh battery, providing a substantial solution to address the "energy replenishment anxiety" of new energy heavy-duty trucks.

These changes signify that Beiben's new energy heavy-duty trucks are evolving from simply "being able to run" to "carrying more, running faster, and refueling efficiently," significantly enhancing their market competitiveness.

Overseas Markets: Breakthrough in South Africa and Customization for Africa

While steadily consolidating its position in the domestic market, Beiben is accelerating its overseas expansion. A landmark achievement is its remarkable leap in the South African market, achieving monthly sales exceeding 100 units, annual sales exceeding 1,000 units, and total production exceeding 10,000 units. This is not only a numerical breakthrough but also validates the adaptability of its products to the complex working conditions in Africa.

To meet overseas demand, Beiben has also launched the new generation of high-horsepower VL550 AMT tractor trucks and VX2628 engineering vehicles, targeting the African market and markets along the Belt and Road Initiative. With an overseas target of 3,700 vehicles, it is foreseeable that Beiben will make more frequent appearances on the international stage this year.

Digital Upgrade: From Supply Chain to AI Manufacturing Beyond products, Beiben's investment in internal "soft power" is equally noteworthy.

Fully Online Supply Chain: The new generation digital supply chain platform (U9Cloud) is now online, covering over 400 suppliers. From order placement and logistics to financial settlement, the entire process is now online. This translates to faster response times and lower communication costs.

AI-Powered Manufacturing: Beiben has applied for a patent titled "Dynamic Scheduling Method for Flexible Heavy-Duty Truck Production Lines Based on Artificial Intelligence." Simply put, it utilizes AI and digital twin technology to enable production lines to more intelligently handle mixed production of multiple vehicle models, improving efficiency and flexibility. This lays the foundation for subsequent personalized customization and small-batch, multi-variety production models.

Summary and Outlook

Looking back at Beiben Heavy Truck's performance at the beginning of the year, three main themes are clearly visible:

Product Electrification: The V5 series, featuring 14 new energy vehicle models, made a strong debut, with performance indicators reaching mainstream or even leading levels in the industry.

Market Globalization: Using South Africa as a fulcrum, Beiben is accelerating its overseas expansion, driving growth through both domestic and international sales.

Operational Digitalization: From supply chain to manufacturing, Beiben is reconstructing internal efficiency using digitalization and AI technologies.

For truck drivers, logistics companies, and industry observers, Beiben Heavy Truck's approach in 2026 is proactive and pragmatic. It hasn't blindly pursued scale but has chosen a differentiated path of "high-quality products + new energy + digitalization." The next key questions are: How will these new vehicles perform in actual operation? Can the V5 series' 600 kWh superchargeable models gain traction in the express delivery market? We shall wait and see.
